The coach Italian Roberto Donadoni said in a moderate way the defeat of his team face the Netherlands (0 to 3) in the opening match of Euro 2008 which took place Monday in Berne.

He acknowledged that former world champions have played a few minutes.

 "I do not know if this is my worst match as Italian breeder," said Dr. Donadoni. "During the first half, the Dutch have not really played better than us, and we've started. But we committed errors and allowed two goals," he added.

"Now we have two matches that we need to win, we'll do everything we can," said Donadoni.

This is the most overwhelming defeat for the Italian team football in the history of the Championship of Europe and the first defeat of Italy face the Netherlands in 30 years.

Mr. Donadoni did not complain of the first goal and scored a controversial Ruud van Nistelrooy in the 26th minute, although it speaks in a tone dissatisfied.

 "The first goal was a bit misleading, I can not say if sûrment account or not, this is not for me to decide," he concluded.
