Good debut for one of the strong candidates for the title of Euro. Germany beat Poland with authority with two goals from Podolski and stung at the head of group B.
Germany started with everything in the Euro 2008, adding its first three points and cutting a streak of six games without a victory in the great continental event. Two goals from Lukas Podolski, one in each period, punishing a peleona Poland but absolutely disorderly ago. For Joachim Löw not leave them weighed as favourites.
Germany, as always. With a rigid 4-4-2 since the drawing, but quite flexible thanks to the ease of Jansen on the side izqierdo, and Fritz as internal banda right hand. Klose and Mario Gomez crazed to the Polish defense with his constant distancing, especially the former, who attended Lukas Podolski in the play of 1-0 and also participated in the second. Germany has no mysteries from the tactical, and perhaps this is one of its main strengths in this Euro. Joachim Löw not complicate the lives of their footballers.
Poland, however, was finally decided by a drawing of 4-2-3-1. Dudka and Lewandowski as pivots, and Lobodzinski Krzynowech loose by gangs, Zurawski as a nexus of the attack and Ebi Smolarek as more men upfront. The idea was good because the sides are ahead of Germany a lot, but Smolarek was lost throughout the match and the excesses by the sides never found a clear reference where you have to do damage in the area rival.
In Germany did not lack a domain sustained exercise to open the tin. In fact, after a first attempt by the Poles in a bad exit Lehmann (Krzynoweck remató high after two minutes), Mario Gomez ruled on a resounding below the goal, after assistance from Klose (M.4), in a move that was the height of ineptitude of the Polish defence, which was advanced in a totally uncoordinated.
Do not learned the lesson and followed him trying, which Germany no longer forgave them life after 20 minutes when Podolski remató door to empty after a service Klose. The clearest in Poland was the first time Zurawski after a large overflowing Lobodzinski before Jansen (m.37), while the Germans replied two minutes later with an auction that Gomez failed to connect Klose did not reach either heel.
In the second half was even less clear occasions, but the error Golanski in the output cost Poland embedded both the second (m.72). Before there was a deflected shot from Krzynoweck (m.55), and a header near the end of Saganowski stopped by Lehmann after a center Guerreiro (m.83). The difference was in the 'stuck' of Germans, there was the key to the match.
Podolski appear again for 2-0, giving first to a ball that fell after an auction failed Klose. That no Polish lock to reach even Podolski in a rebound elementary spoke to clear the loose who was the defense team Beenhakker.
