The Czech Football Federation (CMFS) announced Thursday in Prague have registered a record number of orders for about 200,000 tickets for the matches in the Czech selection for the Euro-2008 (June 7-29, Austria and Switzerland).
Of the 200,000 orders, some 141,000 deal with the Czechs three matches in the first round (Group A) against Switzerland (on June 7 in Basel in the opening match), Portugal (June 11 in Geneva) and Turkey ( June 15 in Geneva), said the spokesman of the CMFS, Vaclav Tichy.
The quota of tickets reserved for Czech supporters, however, is that 7,500 tickets for the match against the Swiss selection, and 6,200 seats for the other two meetings.
"A alone, the Czech supporters meet without any problem stages at all meetings of their national team," noted Mr. Tichy.
Before the World-2006 in Germany, the Czech federation had registered some 140,000 orders for tickets, said the spokesman.
The process for ordering tickets through the website of the CMFS ended Thursday at 13 local time (12:00 GMT). The draw decisive for ticket sales is scheduled March 3, said Tichy.
