The German football team has arrived Tuesday in Ticino, where she will stay during the EURO 2008. She landed at the airport of Lugano-Agno before taking the direction of Ascona, where she booked the hotel "Giardino" until June 29.
Emmenée by Theo Zwanziger, president of the German Football Association, the delegation was received by some fifty students from classes in the region and many journalists. Few curious turned out despite a hot and sunny weather.
The state councillor Ticino Gabriele Gendotti, director of the department of culture and sports, welcomed the footballers. The players have not given any interview or signed autographs. The team immediately took place in the bus which took the lead in Ascona, escorted by police.
