Up to 5000 Euros in the case of illegal sale of tickets

Less than a week before the Euro 2008 football tournament, the organizers are ready, they told the press in Basel and Vienna. They said that the illegal sale of tickets may be worth a fine of 5000 euros (8100 francs).

Five million fans are expected in Switzerland and Austria, said Martin Kallen, chief of the tournament. UEFA has again warned against the black market where moving many tickets. The offender is liable to a fine of up to 5000 euros.

Those without precious sesame can still live the live event, "said UEFA. "We have given the 1000 global licences for the broadcasting of matches in public, including 180 to 220 in Switzerland and Austria," said Kallen.
