Romania coach Victor Piturca included few surprises in his preliminary European Championship squad on Wednesday, with the team spearheaded by Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu.
The 26-man roster also included captain Cristian Chivu of Inter Milan and VfB Stuttgart striker Ciprian Marica, whose status for the June tournament is unclear after an injury in training on Tuesday.
The roster — which included 14 players from the domestic league — will be cut to 23 before the tournament.
"I will choose players who have worked hard and helped us qualify. There will be no surprises," Piturca said.
Romania will face France, Italy and the Netherlands in Group C of Euro 2008.
