The world is gearing up for the most ferocious international football tournament since the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the prestigious UEFA EURO 2008. Switzerland and Austria will host as 16 of the best European football nations prepare to battle LIVE on SBS.
SBS Television’s exclusive free-to-air broadcast agreement will see the network broadcast eight matches LIVE, including the opening game and final, in addition to hosting a one-hour highlights program on match days and an eight-part road to EURO preview series “UEFA Euro 2008 - The Definitive Guide”.
SBS Radio will broadcast all EURO matches LIVE in English and in the languages of the participating nations, with daily updates, interviews and live crosses in most language programs as well as World View and Alchemy.
“It's been eight years since EURO was last broadcast on free-to-air and SBS is delighted to be able to give football fans comprehensive coverage of this significant European tournament once again," said Ken Shipp, SBS Head of Sport.
