Ottmar Hitzfeld (59 years) is convinced that Switzerland can create the sensation at EURO 2008. The legendary coach saw his last season at Bayern Munich before Köbi Kuhn successor at the helm of the national team this summer. He granted an interview to Sportinformation.

Q: THE EURO begins in less than two months. What do you expect from this event?

A: EURO is a strong point for the whole of Europe. This time, of course, for Switzerland, which will be the focus of attention for three weeks. This is a huge opportunity for the country but for the national team, to appear in its best light.

Q: Who do you think will be the favorite of the tournament?

A: The big countries are always among the favorites: Germany, France, Italy world champion, the Netherlands. But Switzerland can create the sensation. If she reached the semi-finals or even final, it would be a dream.
