Lucarelli scored a goal against Empoli on Sunday afternoon, thus going some way to proving that he is still in form and ready if called to be part of the Azzurri's squad.
"I still think about it, it's normal," declared the former Livorno striker. "I must do well for Parma and reach safety, because the club has invested a lot in me. Then I will think about the rest afterwards."
Lucarelli then spoke about the game which the Gialloblu failed to win despite dominating for long stretches.
"We were apt to do what Cuper told us to do in the first half hour," he explained. "We were excellent up until Giovinco's goal, then we were scattered at the mental level.
"My goal was important because it's a year which has otherwise been going forward slowly. Pity about the chance for the 2-0 which would have probably sent the game in another direction. It would have been a different game," concluded Lucarelli.
