The BBC has been carrying a story that Northern Ireland might yet be invited to the Euro 2008 Finals.
It comes about because of the Spanish government's interference with the workings of the Spanish FA-something UEFA are dead against.
Countries can be suspended by UEFA in these circumstances and UEFA's William Gaillard has been talking tough on the issue.
Before hopes are raised though, it should be noted that nothing appears on UEFA's website about this and the IFA have no knowledge of it.
The last time UEFA cracked down was on Greece , who were suspended- for all of 48 hours.
